A partner, not just a dev team.
Our mission
Put what's possible with AI within reach of founders and SMBs.
01 · What we do
Ideas in. Solutions out.
MagicPill Labs is a software development agency with skills and experience in research and science, design and creative arts, as well as great customer success. We partner with founders and SMBs to help them take full advantage of what's possible with AI, and explore tough problems that need more than off-the-shelf solutions. Our team works closely with clients on solutions that serve their business goals and solve real problems.
02 · How we work with clients
Six phases, one team.
Every engagement starts with a free intro call to see whether we're a fit. From there, an opportunity audit maps your stack and workflows into a ranked, costed shortlist, and solution scoping turns the best idea into an architecture and a fixed-price proposal you can sign. The build runs in phases with monthly demos. Once it's live, we keep it running at a reduced rate, or hand it over with docs and training when you're ready to own it.
Depending on what you need, we work as a dedicated dev team, a fractional CTO, or a research and development partner. See pricing for what each phase costs.
03 · What makes us unique
Research, Design and Partnership
Our background is peer-reviewed research and data science, so feasibility, prototypes and model evals come before a proposal and you fund what works. Design and creative arts sit inside the team rather than at a hand-off, so the interface and the experience are built alongside the engineering. And a small senior team works directly with you, with monthly demos and timesheets, asking why before we build what.
04 · Who we're best for
For teams who want a partner.
We're at our best with founders turning an idea into a product, and with small and mid-sized businesses putting AI to work in the business: teams who want a knowledgeable AI and software partner, not just a dev team. If you already know exactly what to build and only need hands to build it, there are cheaper options. If you want help working out what's worth building, and then building it well, we should talk.
